Connected to God’s Presence & to Each Other

How Can We Stay Connected?

Growing & Resilient Disciples of Jesus are people who are nourished by four rhythms/nutrients of discipleship. We are 1) Rooted in God’s Story, 2) Connected to God’s Presence & to One Another, 3) Guided by the Holy Spirit on Our Spiritual Journeys, and 4) Sent out as Jesus’ Light & Life. On this page, we’ll explore Rhythm 2: Connected to God’s Presence. Miss the introduction on the rhythms and how they all fit together? If so, start here.

Remaining in and Revealing God’s Presence

Ever since God created the world, He has had a strong desire to be in relationship with us, and God is always present with us.  Every moment of our lives is a chance to encounter Jesus. Thus, we are invited to notice and abide/remain+ in His presence, seeking out ways to be with Him and to develop a conversational friendship with Him.   We are also to reveal* Jesus’ presence as we connect with others and are Jesus’ hands and feet in the world.

Explore below some habits & postures that have consistently helped disciples of Jesus throughout the ages in connecting to God’s presence.
