OUT Rhythm

Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind. And love your neighbor as yourself.

OUT movements are opportunities for loving our neighbor though mission , compassion, and vocation. As we “engage our hands”, we go out into the broken world, shining Jesus’ light upon it and bringing renewal.

Mission: We share the Good News of Christ with others in Word, Deed, and the Power of HS. (Word=Evangelism, Deed=Service, Power=Healing and Deliverance)

Compassion:  We learn to love pray for, and serve our friends, neighbors, co-workers, family, and strangers in  numerous concrete ways.

Vocation:  No matter what our work is, we are called to love God and neighbor through it.  This is our primary call.  For some of us, we are given a more specific call in which we live out our gifts in paid work or an avocation.

Questions

Mission: How am I being a witness to the Good News of Jesus (through Word, Deed, or Power)?  What next steps in this area may God be inviting me into in this upcoming season?

Compassion: How am I loving and serving others? What next steps in this area may God be inviting me into in this upcoming season? How am I living out God’s call for mercy, justice, compassion, and reconciliation in the world?

Vocation: How am I loving God and neighbor through my work (paid and avocation)?  What next steps in this area may God be inviting me into in this upcoming season?

All that we do is aimed at the reconciliation, restoration, and renewal of ourselves and the world.  Sometimes, however, God gives us a particular call in life.  Has God laid a particular passion on my heart?  How might God be inviting me to use my time, talent, treasure, and temple to fulfill this call in this next season, a future season, or over the course of a lifetime? (Note: A call can be lived out in paid work or in an avocation
